EMC23 was the first time I experienced the conference from the other side — not just attending but helping bring it to life.

I’d been to EMC before, many times when I worked in different companies in the industry as an exhibitor, attending, and volunteer, but this time was different. This time, I was behind the scenes — building relationships, shaping the experience, and hoping it would all come together the way we envisioned.

And it did!

Our first full two-day format, packed Expert Forums, standing-room-only panels, hallway conversations that never seemed to stop. The energy in the room was real — not just busy but connected. I saw people having the kinds of conversations that matter. Not just about business, but about ideas, challenges, leadership, and where this industry is really headed.

Watching the Women’s Energy Alliance launch during the show — and seeing the way people showed up for it — was something I’ll never forget. There was a genuine sense of excitement, passion, and purpose in that room that made it clear: this mattered, and people were ready for it.

I’ve been part of this community for years, but EMC23 felt like a turning point. And being part of the team that helped make it happen? That was the best part of all!” – Tammy Murphy, Energy Marketing Conferences #EMCStories
