Energy Marketing Conferences (EMC) Announces Carbon-Neutral Commitment for EMC22 in Las Vegas

NEW YORK, NY, USA – August 28, 2024 — Energy Marketing Conferences (EMC) proudly announces its commitment to achieving carbon-neutral and sustainable excellence for the 22nd Energy Marketing Conference (#EMC22), scheduled for September 23-24, 2024, at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.  This year’s conference, in part through a sponsorship by Shell Energy, will purchase carbon credits to offset a total of 73 metric tons (MT) of carbon emissions associated with the event and its attendees and will utilize environmentally friendly cups and water bottles, marking a significant advancement in environmental responsibility.

EMC’s Carbon Neutrality Initiative

To ensure the integrity of its carbon offsetting efforts, EMC employs a rigorous program where 100% of the carbon offsets are verified against globally recognized standards by independent third-party verifiers. These standards include the Verified Carbon Standard, Gold Standard, American Carbon Registry, CSA Group, and the Climate Action Reserve, guaranteeing the highest quality of carbon offsets. Each carbon offset represents a reduction of one metric ton (2,205 lbs) of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) emissions, achieved through projects specifically designed to mitigate CO2 emissions.
